Entourage star headlines apocalyptic thriller Goodbye World

Winner Best Feature the New Hampshire Film Festival, Goodbye World from director Dennis Hennelly (Rock the Bells,) makes its Australian Blu-ray and DVD debut May 20. It stars Adrian Grenier (Entourage), Ben McKenzie (Gotham), Kerry Bishe (Argo) and Caroline Dhavernas.

James and Lily, are 30 something parents who pride themselves on raising their young daughter through self-sustainable means. Theirs is a comfortable existence lived off the grid. But when a mysterious mass SMS ripples its way across the country triggering a crippling, apocalyptic cyber attack, their home transitions from sheltered oasis to a fortress. Estranged friends soon show up at their door for protection and community. But the unexpected reunion is quickly undermined by the ghosts of the past, the spark of lingering romances and the threat of a violent local militia. The friends struggle to survive as the world crumbles around them - but will they be able to survive each other?

Once the widespread freeze in technology leaves society without communication and transportation Goodbye World plays out like an amalgam of After the Dark and The Big Chill.

Eagle Entertainment release the thriller to retail through Gryphon Entertainment.

"The strength of Goodbye World is that it understands the foibles of these characters and lets them be as flawed as they are," writes Katie Walsh in The Playlist, "while they are also trying to survive not just the apocalypse but each other."
